- FULL POSSESSION IN 69G SELLS IN OUR NOV. 2 SALE! |
|||||||||||
| 69G
was purchased from Dan Laclare (Poplar Dale Hereford Ranch) as the feature
calf in their 1998 sale. His dam is one of their best females (1994 Agribition
Reserve Senior Champion) and has produced two other sale features for them.
Hansons Ranches are also using a son that topped the '99 PDHR sale. We have
had great success using sons of our best cows - so place a lot of confidence
in this top son of Laclare's best female. The 3X daughters at Laclares are
easily the top sire group in their cowherd.
69G's calves are outstanding and have that extra thickness and doing ability with a very quiet temperament that we love to see. 69G is not extreme in any way - except, he has sired extremely good cattle. 69G is thick topped, stout and easy fleshing and has crossed extremely well on our herd. When his first set of calves hit the ground this spring it became evident that he is one of the best breeding bulls ever used at CH. His first son to sell topped our '99 sale at $15,000 and another was reserve calf champion at the Calgary Bull Sale and sold at $10,000. Every visitor leaves impressed with the bull and the job he has done. Australian Semen Rights are owned by the Yarram Park and Iron Bark Hereford Studs |

023
was our pick of the bulls at the Baker Hereford Ranch sale in February.
His sire, 7046G, is a trait leader for low birth weight and is the easiest
calving bull Bakers have ever used. While a proven calving ease bull,
7046G is thick made and deep ribbed with lots of hair and sires top performance
in his progeny. His first daughters are in production and have the capacity
and udder type that we demand in our females. 023 closely resembles his
sire and is backed by an excellent cow family. He was an outstanding heifers
first calf and she is now in their ET program. We look forward to 023s
first calves.

82B
was purchased for $16,500 because of his unique combination of growth
and volume with low birth weight and high maternal genetics. He has
proven to be an excellent investment as he worked very well on our cows.
The first 82B son to sell, Future 100F, sold for $18,750 and his first son to go to the Calgary Bull Sale, Explorer 122E, was champion and sold for $30,000. Most importantly, 82B daughters are making outstanding cows. |

| We are always looking for outcross genetics that have stood the test of time to benefit ourselves and our customers. 25W 's picture had always caught our eye and after viewing his progeny, we purchased the entire semen bank from Wayne Hurlburt. 25W has been used in our program with great success. His sons in our '98 sale averaged $5,125. He sires cattle with substance, muscle and solid color with pigmentation. | |||||||||||

JAG
has
been a standout all his life and continues to impress us more each day.
He's definitely one of the best we've ever produced as he excels in so
many areas. 69G has sired a sensational set of calves which are uniform
in their thickness and quality. His calves don't have to be fat to be
compete - they are naturally wide topped, high volume, deep ribbed cattle.
JAG puts together as many desirable, profit based traits as any bull we've ever been associated with. 20J had a moderate birth weight, got going quickly as his doing ability an ease of fleshing were soon evident. He's a high performance calf with so much more. JAG is a big calf yet sure footed with great width of base and top, tremendous extension of rib and rump and a head and neck that projects confidence and authority. He's loose hided with super depth of heart and flank - traits that the seedstock industry has maybe let slip away over the years. JAG's dam is a top cow backed by a powerful cow family. An ET full sister to 108B produced the '97 Calgary Reserve Champion for Jonomn that sold to Blumes for $54,000. Amy's had a huge impact on our program and others - her progeny are very strong maternally, yet have that extra muscle and dimension that the breed needs. Blue Chip has been a super consistent producer. Two top sons have gone to Calgary and showed and sold well - selling to Pipeline Grazing and Watergrove Ranches. JAG is easy to spot. He was a popular champion at the Calgary District Futurity show over 60 of southern Alberta's top calves. JAG has the presence and quality that only true herd bulls possess. He was the High Selling bull at our Opportunity Awaits '99 Sale where we sold a 2/3 interest for $15,000. |
