| With
our black Simmental program expanding steadily; we felt the time was right
to look for a bull that would compliment the females we had assembled. Our
search led us to the Meyers Ranch in North Dakota where we found a bull
that had the thickness and spring of rib that we were looking for in an
athletic, eye-appealing package. To make this great individual even more
outstanding is the fact that he has the legendary Meyer Ranch "400"
cow top & bottom in his pedigree, along with "Nichols Kelly 750"
and "Meyer Ranch 703". These cows have been production giants
in the Simmental breed. The quickest way to multiply great cow families
is through an outstanding son.
Excitement and anticipation would be appropriate words to describe our feelings as we await "Most Wanted's" first calves. We feel he has a world of potential as a sire of calves that are born easily, grow rapidly and have excellent carcass qualities. |

Keystone
topped our 2001 sale to Soderglen Ranches and Oberle Simmentals. He is
an outcross pedigreed, solid black bull with a ton of volume and substance.
He is super sound and super haired and is backed by a genetic combination
of top notch females and high performance bulls. He has sired a set of
calved that we are very proud to be selling. Whether the cows were Red
or Black, Keystone made the resulting calf solid marked, good haired and
of high quality. He also proved to be a tremendous pasture bull for his
owners - breeding a lot of cows at both places. Help yourself to this
great set of Keystone bulls & females - they are truly impressive.
Homozygous Polled. Heterozygous Black. Red & Black Sons & Daughters

| "Remington"
is a solid red homozygous polled bull. Being out of two black parents, he
has locked in color predictability. He is indeed a proven non-diluter and
non-spotter. "Remington" is not only an athletic outcross sire to most popular red genetics; he also has the capacity, length of spine, bone & skeletal dimension to be a leader in the Simmental breed. Bred and born in Minnesota, we purchased "Remington" as a proven sire from PVF Simmentals, Indiana. Visitors admire him for his depth of body, muscle mass, and his near perfect foot and leg structure as well as having a very large hoof. The uniformity he has left in his calves is remarkable. |

| "Homebuilder"
is a tremendous double red, double polled, non-diluted breed mover. This
young herd sire has the internal dimension and length of spine to make him
an asset to anyone's program. His sire, "D Bar C Fortune 607F",
as a calf was Reserve Division Champion at the National Simmental Show at
FarmFair. "Fortune" was the pick of our calves that year and sold
privately in the fall to Jack Stahl, Huxley Colony. We were fortunate enough
to have early use of the bull for 2 years on heifers and a few select cows.
He was unfortunately lost to injury late spring so "Homebuilder"
is a limited edition with no semen on "Fortune" available.
"607F" was a unique individual with extra depth, spring of rib and awesome performance while having a low birth weight of 83 lbs. and exceptional Calving Ease. These profitable traits have been passed on to progeny as well. "Fortune's" "Red Pepper" dam was the High Selling Female in the Silver Willow Dispersal and has been a production giant. "Homebuilder" dam, "241C", is a model female with a picture perfect red udder and is a proven non-diluter producing 2 very good black bulls. |

| "Excalibur"
is a solid red double-polled non-diluted son of "Cayenne" that
we selected out of the Nelson Bull Sale. His dam and his maternal sisters
were powerful in their herd.
"Excalibur" has been an excellent breeding bull in our program. He was a very long backed, thick topped stout bull with super feet and haircoat. his first daughters are in production and we are thrilled with the young cows he has left us. Both his sons and daughters have extra length and performance all top cattlemen demand. "Excalibur" is in the top 5% of the breed for weaning and yearling weights. "Excalibur" daughters will play a big part in our future. Unfortunately we lost him to injury in the fall of '98, but his influence will be felt in the industry for many years to come. |

| "EDGE" is a double red, double polled non-diluted son of "Red Record". We picked "Edge" out of the bull offering at Gateway Simmentals. He is a long-backed, free moving, deep-sided bull that is very high maternal. We calved the first "Edge" heifers this spring and the ideal udder types they have and the genetic power they have put into their calves is very pleasing. They look to be the kind of young females that can bring in the good ones no matter what the mating. "Edge" is definitely a piece of the puzzle and he, too, will leave his mark on the industry. He is now owned by Stoughton Farms of Maidstone, SK. | |||||||||||||||||||
